Challenge: I used to write in complete isolation — I'd never read a single word aloud in front of anyone. Taking part in the writing workshops was a deeply personal experience, and my fear of participating kept me from taking any real step toward an actual project. Turning point: I discovered the reader isn't a threat to my writing, but part of it. I learned to balance my naivety as a writer — which is actually my strength — with an awareness of who's reading. I didn't lose my voice; I understood who I was speaking to. Result: I came out of the camp with a clear book project, and a courage I didn't have before. I'm still at the beginning, but now I know the difference between the fear that paralyzes and the sensitivity that refines. I feel immense gratitude, a different kind of happiness, and complete certainty that my decision to take part was, in itself, a reward.

My biggest obstacle was connecting with readers. In the writing camp, on the Kitabh platform, I closed an enormous gap and was able to bring in the small, everyday details every person lives and feels, and weave them into my writing. In the camp I learned to sense the blessing of writing itself, to reach new depths by probing the depths of my own language, and to connect with readers and fellow camp writers over the pure beauty in every text I read — deepening my belonging to writing and it to me. The transformation I'm living now shows in my language, and I see it in every text; because the whole world turned into my raw material and my extension. I turned small details and passing moments into a place for my reflection and my gaze, and my daily continuation in writing became food for the soul, healing for the body, and a way of connecting with things and the world. I was able to activate writing techniques I'd never used, even though I've written for many years — I've never known myself as anything but a writer, since I was born and since childhood. The camp was like a complete shift in my writing and a seismic change that strengthened my craft and reinforced my ideas and my very particular style — it was a constructive space for connection that moved me deeply, and I loved it. Result: consistent publishing; sharper, more refined texts that moved my literary and philosophical work into a new stage; real engagement with readers and those interested in my work; and living with writing every day.

Before the camp, my biggest challenge was staying committed to writing. I learned to publish regularly, and to accept that no piece is ever perfect. My writing feels more mature now, and there's always room to keep growing.

Before the camp I kept procrastinating on writing projects, and my whole reason for joining was to finally start and get moving. My thinking and idea-generation skills developed, and learning to categorize types of writing inspired me to plan other projects — organizing my publishing is far smoother now.

My biggest obstacle was choosing my writing direction and finding my voice as a writer, and finally publishing. The most important thing I learned was pinning down my direction and voice — discussing with other writers also helped me improve my writing and broaden how I see my texts and my readers, and I finally felt encouraged to publish on Kitabh. I now feel far more confident in my writing skills, and in how to write in a way that fits my direction and my readers.

Challenge: before joining the camp I hesitated a lot before writing, with no clear way to turn my ideas into text that truly expressed me. Turning point: during the camp I learned different text types and impactful-writing craft, and became far more aware of how to build and phrase an idea. Result: through steady practice and publishing, I now express my ideas with far more confidence, and I learned better ways to publish and connect with readers.

A letter from the camp's founder

Your decision to commit to writing and publishing regularly may be the most important personal and professional decision you make this year.

When you commit to showing up in front of readers, your ideas start taking their natural place — on the page, in newsletters, and in people's minds, not just in your own head.

This simple decision opens new doors: job opportunities, professional relationships, an audience waiting for your writing, and projects you never imagined you'd be capable of.

In the Virtual Writing Camp, you won't be alone on this journey; you'll get a clear framework to commit to writing week after week, practical exercises to sharpen your style and build a strong library of texts, alongside a community of serious writers who share your challenges and ambitions.

If you feel it's time to treat writing as a real path in your life, not a postponed hobby, this is your invitation to take a different step: one intensive month that could change how you write — and what writing can achieve for you in the years to come.
